When I See You

Snowflakes falling from the skies.
Waiting for the sun to rise.
When I see you with my eyes.
Loo, loo, loo, loo, loo, loo, loo, loo, loo.

I hung the stockings ‘bove the fire.
I stacked the gifts a little higher.
I hung the lights upon the tree,
but there’s one gift that I don’t see.

I hung the wreath upon the door
and decked the halls a little more.
The snowflakes cover up the lawn,
but all I care about that’s gone is you, just you.

The fire does not feel warm now because
you, just you could hold me through the storm now
and I’d make it through but all I feel is cold now
as I wait for you.

If you hear me, I’ll be waiting till you’re by my side.
When you’re near me, celebrating, my heart comes to life.

And Christmas lights will give their glow
to light our faces in the snow.
And Christmas carols with their cheer
let us know that joy is here.

The air will bite our noses so.
The chill will keep our cheeks aglow.
But I will not succumb to cold
as long you are there to hold cause

you, just you keep me warm when air gets colder.
You, just you dim my fears and make me bolder.
You, just you make me feel alive as I get older
but the time ticks by.

So, if you hear me, I’ll be waiting till you’re by my side.
When you’re near me, celebrating, my heart comes to life.
